Health Reform

During the health reform process, the Nursing Community was strongly committed to assisting the Administration and Congress in transforming the nation’s healthcare system into a patient-centered environment in which all individuals have access to high-quality, cost-effective care.

The Nursing Community's health reform efforts began with Commitment to Quality Health Reform: A Consensus Statement from the Nursing Community. After the Patient Protection and Afforable Care Act became law, the Nursing Community has responded to proposed rules concerning access to quality health care.
